Apple Pie
Ingredients
- 6 cups thinly sliced apples, such as Granny Smith, Honey Crisp, or Braeburn
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 1 Tbsp butter, cut into small pieces
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 pre made pie crusts
Directions
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees
- Wash, core, peel, and cut apples into thin slices
- Combine sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl
- Grease pie pan and place in on of the pie crusts, crimping the top
- Arrange apples in layers, and sprinkle each layer with some of the cinnamon sugar mixture
- Place pieces of butter on top layer of apples, and cover with top crust slicing a few vent holes in crust
- Place pie on lower oven rack and bake for 10 minutes, Lower temperature to 350 and bake for an additional 30-35 minutes
- Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream
